Company History

Commercial Press Building
The Commercial Press built its printing factory in Catchick Street, Western District, in 1924

The C & C group was established in 1980 when the printing houses of Chung Hwa Book Company and the Commercial Press were merged to create C & C Joint Printing Co., (HK) Ltd. Our history actually goes back over a hundred years with the inception of The Commercial Press, with its own printing plant in Mainland China in 1897. C & C Joint Printing Co., (HK) Ltd. is part of a larger group -- Sino United (Holdings) Hong Kong, Ltd. with interests that include publishing, printing, retail book sales, and newspapers.

Assortment of products
C & C Offset produces a wide range of printed products

Our main focus is on the production of hard cover and soft cover books with duotone, four-, five- and six-color printing. However, we also produce a wide array of products including wall and desk calendars, wire-o bound diaries and books, post cards and postcard books, packaging materials, cookbooks, illustrated and novelty books. Thanks to careful planning between the clients, our sales and production facilities; we have been able to provide clients with periodicals in a timely manner, as well as producing corporate brochures and commercial catalogues for our clients around the world.

C & C Building in Hong Kong
The C & C Building in Tai Po, New Territories

C & C Offset is housed on 9 floors of the 15-story C & C Building in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong. Tai Po is located in the northern area of the Kowloon peninsula and can be reached easily by train using the Kowloon-Canton Railway from the main railway station in Kowloon, or via taxi from any location in Hong Kong.

Our offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo represent the importance of these cities as publishing centers in Asia. The growing importance of Asia in general, and China specifically has prompted the group to build a new 30,000 square meter facility in Shenzhen to focus on this market specifically. The Guangdong facility is also where we are able to produce labor intensive products requiring hand assembly.

Additionally, we have the C & C Offset Printing Co.; (NY) Inc. situated to meet the needs of America's publishing center in New York City. We at C & C Offset are very proud of our abilities. We are not willing to rest upon our past accomplishments, however. We were the first commercial Hong Kong printer to obtain ISO certification, and have renewed and improved upon that certification at each step. We were also the first printer in Hong Kong to be granted the Hong Kong Awards for Industry Productivity award. The true test however, has been the ratings of our peers and clients, who have given recognition to our quality work time and again. For a sample list of the awards granted to us, we welcome you to see the awards listing on this site.
